Vacuum Cleaners and Steam Cleaners

Vacuum cleaners are cleaning machines which make use of an air pump to create a vacuum in which the dust and the dirt from the floor is sucked and collected in the dust-bag and disposed off later. The functioning of the vacuum cleaners is based on the difference in the air pressure which causes suction. The electric motor which is located within the vacuum cleaner reduces the pressure within the machine as a result of which the atmospheric pressure pushes the dust and the air through the carpet into the nozzle.

There are different types of vacuum cleaners and some of the most common types of vacuum cleaners are the upright vacuum cleaners and the canister vacuum cleaners. The specialized types of vacuum cleaners are known as wet vacuums and pneumatic vacuums both of which can be used to clean up wet or liquid spills. Back-pack vacuum cleaners are meant for the commercial purpose where as the built-in and the central vacuum cleaners are meant for cleaning up large and expansive buildings. The varieties of vacuum cleaners include the robotic vacuum cleaners which move autonomously, the small hand-held vacuum cleaners which are ideal for small spills and the drum vacuum cleaners which are meant for industrial applications.

Steam cleaners, on the other hand, are cleaning machines which elevate the temperature of the hot water till it reaches a high point and is then utilized for cleaning, sanitizing, disinfecting, sterilizing and quick drying of inanimate surfaces. Steam cleaners are available in a number of models which can be used for a number of purposes ranging from industrial use to domestic applications. Since steam cleaners do not make use of chemicals, they are considered to be the most eco-friendly method of cleaning. The actual application of steam cleaners lies in cleaning up the hypoallergenic environment as they purify the quality of indoor air and are very effective against bacteria, virus, mold and other forms of biocontamination.
